sweet sweet tere.
this is a long overdue thank you to miss tere, who is kind and generous. who sent me two of her lovely prints that now adorn my wall. who helped me fix a website, just out of the goodness of her heart. thank you, tere, for reminding me of the kindness of strangers & the joy of new friends.

reason #534 why I haven't been blogging lately.
I’ve been spending time with this man.
This man who tells stories.
Who never gives up or gives in.
Who dispenses wisdom with grace. Gentle with his genius & sharp with his wit.
Who makes me believe that I can do anything, be anything, be everything.
I was sitting on a park bench the other day, brimming with bright & sparkling & scattered thoughts, giddy with premature...
hi there.
it’s been a while. I really didn’t mean to step off the grid for so long. but I’m still here. and I’m glad you’re here. and I’ll be back soon, I promise. xoxo

abbracciami
it’s one of my favorite Italian words. it’s just so fun to say. abbracciami. abbracciami. hey, you, abbracciami. its colloquial translation is “hug me.” but the verb abbracciare comes from the word braccio (meaning “arm”), so literally, it means “wrap your arms around me.” doesn’t that just describe the feeling so perfectly?

oooppps.
so I haven’t been the best at keeping my promise. for all this talk about love, someone over here might have an itty-bitty issue with commitment. but that’s for another post. will you forgive me?

everything you need to know about love you knew...
You’ve probably all heard those sweet little quotes by kids waxing poetic on love. They tend to circulate this time of year. Part of me thinks they are hopelessly sappy, and part of me thinks they absolutely (and adorably) ring true. Either way, here’s a reminder that everything there is to know about love, you learned before the age of 10.
“Love is what makes you smile when...

month of love.
as if I weren’t already completely obsessed with love, I decided to write one little post about love every day for the entire month of February. yes, it’s a Hallmark holiday, yes, I shouldn’t need an excuse to tell all the people I love how much I love them, yes, yes, yes. I get it. And still, I love the idea, the feeling, the many manifestations of love.
so I hope...

this song is breathtakingly beautiful. →
Justin Timberlake & Matt Morris sing Hallelujah at the Hope for Haiti Now telethon. I’ve always loved this song, and hearing it as a duet makes it all the more beautiful.
{And from JT, who knew?!}

{vivere intensamente nel momento}
I recently ran into an old family friend at a wedding, and as we were talking, she turned to me and said, “Vivi intensamente nel momento.” You live intensely in the moment. OK, so it sounds way prettier in Italian, but still, what a beautiful phrase. Not just to live in the moment, but to live with intensity and intensely in the moment. I like that idea.

dreamy photos
I’ve been admiring the work of Montreal-based photographer Irene Suchocki for a while now. she creates the most gorgeous, whimsical, dreamy photographs. She calls them “little poems for the eyes.” Isn’t that the best description?
Check out her Etsy shop & blog for more!
The flower shots are so pretty & delicate & vintage looking…
