fill-in-the-blank
one of my favorite professors in college had the best writing exercise. she would start a phrase, and we would each have to fill in the blank, and then write for 20 minutes. her prompts were always so poetic. and engaging. she had this magical ability to make words flow right out of you.
she used to say that performance is the word made flesh. and I think she’s right.
