a language a year

so I had this crazy idea on my birthday last year, that I would learn a new language every year.  I’ve already got 4 (umm, technically 5, if dialects count), and I’ve started my 6th.  but which should I choose as my 7th for next year?

Here are my top choices:

1) Portuguese.  it’s the only romance language I don’t speak.  and I think it’s just so gorgeous sounding.  muito obrigada.  I love the sound of that.

2) Mandarin.  the tonality idea is just so cool to me.

3) Arabic.  I went to Egypt in January, and I was mesmerized by the aspirated hhh of word habibi.  I couldn’t stop saying it.  hhhhhabibi.  the mixture of the airy hhh and the sweet bi-bi makes it my favorite term of endearment of all time.  talk about onomatopoeia.  habibi = my beloved.

so what’s your vote?  or maybe I should just stick to perfecting what I’ve got.  though perfection is never fun.  or attainable for that matter.
